I AM MEG, the top rating social media trending reality TV show finally aired last October 18, 2014! Did you get to watch it? Well, here’s my commentary on the episode’s events and a bunch of BTS shots from the long taping day.

For those of you who have not heard about I AM MEG, it is a TV show by Meg magazine that documents the search for the next Meg ambassador. It is hosted by Maxene Magalona, Rain Dagala (Meg magazine fashion editor), and Yani Asistio (last year’s I AM MEG winner). Thousands of girls from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao auditioned but, after a series of call backs, only 12 finalists qualified for the show.
When I first auditioned in SM Megamall, I already knew that I had a one in a million chance to get in but I went for it anyway. When it was confirmed that I am part of the top 12 finalists I was ecstatic, terrified, and grateful all at the same time. Ecstatic because this is a very exciting milestone, terrified because I have no idea what the show will bring about, and grateful because I am so thankful to whatever universal force that aligned for me to get this chance.
The first episode was all about getting to know each and every one of the top 12 girls. We had a one-on-one interview with Maxene and, of course, our challenge. The challenge was to come up with a photo that best represents who we are. We basically dress like we usually do and the professional photographer will take our shots. Sounds pretty simple but the challenging part there was we were limited to just 20 shots. The moment I heard 20 shots, I was shocked for a bit but I quickly recovered and just did whatever I thought was right.
I wore a neon pink crop top, print high-waist shorts, and a blue blazer. I wanted a variety of poses so after every 5 shots I made the time out signal to the photographer so I could play around with my blazer.

We had tons of down time so the other finalists and I ended up bonding and taking tons of pictures on and off the set.

In the end, it was Francesca who got eliminated. I was so sad to see her go. When I first met her, I called her “Cupcake” because she owns a bakery.

Both dresses I wore are from AVEADENA and I paired them with Miss Selfridge barely-there heels.
