It sometimes amazes me how, in this fast-paced world, there are still genuine experiences that make us take a break from it all and just appreciate the simple things in life. With all the events I get invited to, It’s so refreshing to come across one that doesn’t aim to make a profit or promote a certain product. Girl.Talk.Manila is all about giving women what they want by hosting events that bring like-minded women together in a comfortable atmosphere. I love the whole idea of creating a beautiful space for women to simply talk to each other about fashion, beauty, and other girly things.
Their most recent event was held at the Presidential Suite of the Fairmont Hotel. The entire suite was decked out with the most coveted designer products known to man—courtesy of Stores Specialties Inc. aka Rustan’s. I literally felt like I was in fashion heaven. There were even awesome personal shoppers who made the private shopping experience even more fun.
I, of course, couldn’t go to a girly event without one of my best girl friends. Special thanks to my awesome friend, Bec, for coming with me.
The bedrooms were decked out with Pottery Barn products. I love how they used the hotel room fixtures to showcase the various products.
I spent most of my shopping time looking at all the gorgeous clutches. The Yves Saint Laurent clutches are divine. YSL definitely knows how to make a girl swoon. I especially love the snakeskin clutch with silver chain tassels.
A girls night is never complete without makeup! An entire corner of the room was filled with Nars products. They even brought in their resident makeup artist to do makeovers on everyone!
I didn’t go for a makeover so I ended up trying on different lipstick shades and this is my favorite one, so far. What do you think?
The event had tons of food and champagne courtesy of the Fairmont Hotel. It was my first time to come across Smoked Salmon Custard topped with Caviar. The dish was so good that I actually lost count of how many bowls I had. They also served a variety of delectable desserts! To top it all off, there was never a second that my champagne glass was empty. I’m not even exaggerating on this one. It’s like the waiters had a sixth sense.
Now unto the best room in that entire suite, the sale section! Imagine all these beautiful things on sale for up to 70% off. That’s right, there was actually an entire section dedicated to the special sale items. I completely fell in love with this pair of gold heels by Giuseppe Zanotti—it’s so divine!
I have never ever been a fan of the color green but this textured strappy heel from Jimmy Choo converted me for a bit—it’s so stunning!
This Ralph Lauren printed dress easily caught my eye. Houndstooth is my favorite print of all time! This piece is simply beautiful.
It was such an awesome experience to be my naturally girly self in a comfortable space in the midst of women from all walks of life. Not to mention, the unforgettable shopping experience.
