Have you ever wondered what it would be like to climb Mount Everest, swim with sharks or experience anything you can possibly imagine without leaving the comfort of your home or even spending a dime? What if I told you, all you need is your mobile phone and a special cardboard to be transported to another world? Would you believe me?
I know it sounds crazy but it’s true. You can experience anything you want with Virtual Reality (VR) Headsets like this one from I Am Cardboard (IAC) PH. Virtual Reality is the first step towards a whole new wave of technology. IAC PH makes this technology accessible to the mass market by providing various types of VR headsets, based on the Google cardboard template, at affordable prices.
I am not at all a tech girl but I found the VR headset to be pretty awesome and easy to use. All I had to do was download the Google Cardboard app and use it to view all sorts of VR apps or 360 videos on Youtube. The first time I tried it out, I was completely amazed by it. I’ve never experienced anything like it. Everything just felt so real. There really is no limit to what you can experience with the VR headset. So far, I have travelled to different countries, visited different museums, rode tons of amusement park rides, played games and so much more. This is definitely the next big thing for entertainment.
The I Am Cardboard VR headset is a great product. It is very affordable, durable and it comes in awesome packaging. There are also tons of mobile apps that support this virtual reality technology and it is also compatible with select Youtube videos. This is the perfect product to get a feel of the legit VR headsets out there.
There are, of course, a few downsides to this product. There is a chance (depending on the type of person you are) that it will cause motion sickness. It’s also a hassle to hold it with your hand forever. I suggest to go with the ones with the straps so you can go hands free. It also drains the phone battery and causes the phone to heat up.
For an awesome virtual reality experience, make sure to wear good quality headphones and to be careful when tilting your head because your phone can just slide out. Don’t forget to look for apps and videos that truly interest you. My favorites include this Roller Coaster video and the Dior Fashion Show video.
