In this digital age the simple pleasures of the past are slowly becoming obsolete. Social media posts have replaced heartfelt handwritten letters. To preserve memories, digital albums have replaced scrapbooking. Even face-to-face conversations have been replaced by online messenger services. So much has changed in just a few short years to the point that revisiting life’s simple pleasures are simply comforting experiences now. Every once in a while, we need to remember the simple things that make us smile. I didn’t realize it at the time but the Instax & Crafts event brought me back to a simpler time—and I enjoyed every minute of it.

The Instax & Crafts event was held at the SMX Aura, SM Aura Premier function hall. Every corner of the event space was decked out in playful displays that featured the various Fujifilm Instax products. I especially loved how the products were showcased amongst random quirky items.

The event featured fun arts and crafts activities. Guests were provided with blank paper accordions, photo books, and DIY calendars to let their creativity run wild. There were also different arts station: a washi tape area, a stamping area, and a lettering booth by Ella Lama. Everyone’s competitive side came out when they found out Instax Cameras and Share Printers will be given as prizes to the ones with the best works of art.

The workshop was all about having fun with all the creative ways one can design and display Instax photos. The introduction of Fujifilm’s newest innovation, the Instax Share Smartphone Printer, was also one of the highlights of the event. This amazing printer can conveniently print any photo shared from your phone—it’s now that easy to print photos. The Instax Share Printer is now available in all Fujifilm stores nationwide.

The best thing about Instax is that it captures a memorable moment in an instant and it leaves you with a lovely memento you can carry around.
